Appointments

Consultations are by appointment only. You can book your appointment online at any time of the day or night, 7 days a week. The surgery is open continuously from 09:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday and appointments can also be made via telephone or face-to-face at the surgery by asking at reception.  You can choose to see any of the doctors, however, we recommend that if possible you consult the same doctor throughout the course of any one illness.

Routine (10 minute) appointments are available every week day between 09:00 and 11:30 and 15:00 and 17:30. If, due to work commitments, you find it difficult to attend during the normal surgery hours, we may be able to offer you a later appointment on a Wednesday from 5:30pm. Please be aware, however, that our full range of services will not be available at these later times – please ask staff for details.

Telephone Appointments

If you need to speak to the doctor but do not require a face-to-face encounter, please ask the receptionist for a telephone appointment (5 minutes). They will arrange a suitable day and time for the doctor to contact you by telephone.

Emergency Appointments

The surgery operates a triage system for urgent appointments. If you feel that you require an urgent appointment, please give details to our receptionist who will arrange for you to be triaged by a member of the clinical team. Urgent cases will be seen as soon as possible on that day. Please phone as early in the morning as possible to book.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible to allow us to offer the appointment slot to someone else.

Chaperone for Medical Examination

If you require a chaperone for an intimate medical examination, whether you are male or female and whether you are the same or opposite sex to the doctor or nurse, you are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to your appointment. Alternatively, we are happy to provide a chaperone, but would ask that you please inform the receptionist in advance.
